Terms
of use

About using Marty Talks.

1. About the app

Marty Talks is an app for iPhone and iPad that lets children who do not speak yet, or find speaking hard, say what they want with pictures and words.

These terms apply to the app and to this website. By using Marty Talks, you accept them.

2. Using the app

Marty Talks works without an account and without sign-up. You decide who uses it and how it is arranged for the child.

The app is a communication aid. It is not a medical device and does not replace a speech therapist, a doctor or any other specialist.

  • Use the app only in lawful ways.
  • Do not try to modify or take apart the app, or to get around the protection of Parent Mode.

3. Parent Mode

The children’s profiles, cards, schedules and settings are changed in Parent Mode. You enter it with a hold and a 4-digit PIN. Keep the PIN from the child.

Everything you add stays on the device. You can delete individual cards, recordings and profiles at any time. When you delete the app, everything in it is deleted. We have no copy and cannot restore deleted data.

4. Your content

The photos, words and voice recordings you add are yours. We do not receive them and gain no rights to them.

Add only photos and recordings you have the right to use, especially when other people are in them.

The pictures, the characters, the Marty Talks name and the texts in the app and on the website belong to Marty Talks. You may use them to communicate with your child, but not copy or distribute them on their own.

5. Changes and support

We update the app: we add, change and sometimes remove features. We take care that updates do not affect your cards and recordings.

We do all we can to make Marty Talks work reliably, but we cannot promise that there will never be errors. At important moments, keep the device charged and have another way for the child to tell you what they want.

If something does not work, see “Help” or write to us. If these terms change, we will update this page before the change. Nothing in them limits your legal rights as a consumer.

6. Questions and contact

For questions about these terms, write to us through the “Contact” page.
