About personal data in Marty Talks.
1. Who is responsible for the data
The Marty Talks team is responsible for this information and for every question about personal data. Write to us through the “Contact” page.
2. What data is processed
Marty Talks works without an account and without sign-up. We do not collect names, email addresses, location or device data. The app has no ads, no tracking and no behavior analytics.
What you add yourself stays on the device: the children’s profiles, the cards and words, photos, voice recordings, schedules, settings and the PIN for Parent Mode.
- Camera — only when you choose to take a photo for a new card.
- Photos — you choose them yourself; the app receives only the photo you chose, not your whole library.
- Microphone — only while you record a word in your own voice.
- Voice — words are spoken with the voices of iOS, on the device itself.
3. Storage and deletion
The data is kept on the phone or tablet for as long as the app is installed. We have no access to it and cannot restore it.
In Parent Mode you can delete individual cards, photos, recordings and profiles. When you delete the app, everything in it is deleted with it.
If your device makes backups to iCloud or to a computer, they may include the Marty Talks data too. Those backups are kept under Apple’s rules and your own settings.
4. Access and recipients
We do not sell or pass on data to anyone. The app sends nothing to our servers.
- Apple — if you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in the iOS settings, Apple may show us summarized crash data, with no personal information.
- This website — has no cookies and no visitor counters. The font is loaded from Google Fonts, so Google sees your browser’s IP address.
- Letters to us — the contact form opens your email app. The letter passes through your email provider and through Gmail, where we receive it. We keep it only as long as we need to answer.
5. Your rights
The data in the app is entirely in your hands: you can see, change or delete it at any time in Parent Mode.
For letters you have sent us, you can ask what we keep, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection.
If anything changes in the way we handle data, we will update this page before the change.
